I love the theater. These images were inspired by the play Peter and the Starcatcher, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The play was produced in 2019 by John Tyler Community College where I teach and I offered to do a series of drawings inspired by it to promote it. These are loaded symbols/icons with little specific meaning to anyone unfamiliar with the play. The rubber glove was the inspiration for my pandemic glove series a year later. 

These two mixed media watercolor pieces were made to function as a diptych for the Sierra Club's 2019 exhibition Environment at Risk.
